Our through-floor lifts series (the VM Open Home Lift, the VE Enclosed Home Lift and the Elesse Luxury Lift) has been designed to be as flexible as possible in terms of their application in the home. We believe our lifts are 'life-enhancing' products that change your way of life, but that you shouldn't have to compromise important space in your home you don't want to give up, if it can be avoided. That's why our Home Lifts can be placed almost anywhere in the home, so if there is a space you want to make use of for the lift, we can use it.

Most commonly, we place through floor lifts along walls and in the corners of rooms but, every so often, we work on projects where the homeowner decides the best space for their lift might be away from the wall, and we have even been known to install lifts the right in the middle of some rooms! This can be for a number of reasons. Our lifts our designed to be visually pleasing, so often people want to use the lifts to accentuate their space and, with some sympathetic building works, this can be achieved, with the help of a full diving wall. (This isn't the only way to accentuate your lift – see image below! Check out this blog post for more.)

However, there are times where people don't want a full diving wall to support the lift. Fortunately, we have a solution to this too. We add a small and discreet 'false wall' behind the lift and this allows the lift to be placed away from the wall. It can be transparent or it can be opaque, but these choices are up to you!
