The Great Wessex Bake-Off

Whilst the NAEC was drawing to a close this week, across the Atlantic, nearly 3,500 miles away in the South of England, Wessex employees were in their kitchens preparing themselves for a Wessex calender event that has become a great tradition over the years; the Wessex Bake-Off!

This year, for the first time, we had two winning spots up for grabs - there was a Cupcakes catagory and a Cakes one. A member of our Customer Care Team won the cake round with her Bakewell Tart and a member of our Accounts team took home the prize for the best Cupcake, with some very well decorated Halloween themed cupcakes (pictured below).

We also had a surprise entry from our IT department of a pizza, which won the prize of best pizza, as it was the only pizza in the competition.

All this cake-eating (and pizza-eating!) in the office managed to raise a respectable £58.87 for MacMillan Cancer research.
